Keep an eye on WPSD News out of Paducah and the Murray Sentinel, we were interviewed by the sentinel today and the article should be out soon.
This fight won't just end with a petition, it is time to fight for our fellow students and all the residents and staff of RH White and Regents, the administration of Murray State has forgotten about their job to provide for the students. Call the Office of the President, Inform the Commissioner of Education for Kentucky, Call the Office of the Governor. Make your voices heard!
As of 10pm on February 17th, Regents and White are being boarded up and students will only be able to retrieve any items needed from 10am to 4pm, tomorrow February 18th, these items retrieved need to last these students at least a week.
While the university has offered alternative housing options for the residents of Regents and White, many students didn't receive their housing assignments until long after the 8pm deadline to be out of their dorms on February 16th. As of February 17th, many students are paying for their own hotels or living in their cars while waiting for their temporary housing assignments.
Please support Murray State students, hold our university accountable and fight for the wellbeing of roughly 2800 students who have to live in the dorms. These are students who are on scholarships, using loans, etc. to attend college here, they deserve BETTER!
