INFORMATION UPDATE
TO ALL SUPPORTERS,
IT IS VITAL THAT YOU SIGN AND SHARE THE HCC E- PETITION
Today, Hertfordshire County Council Executive Cabinet ignorantly voted against the democratic calls from the residents of Hertfordshire and are now moving ahead with the proposed sanctuary scheme ‘exploration’. This unfortunately comes as no surprise. I will keep you informed of every step the authority is taking, so you are clear how they are working against the democratic process we demand.
14/10/26 - County Cllr Steven Jarvis, Royston West and Rural division (covers the area from Great Ashby to the western parts of Royston, including all the villages in between) can be heard during this executive meeting calling we who oppose the current clandestine process forcing sanctuary status, and I quote -'Black balaclava wearers who seek to impose their views on society by violence'. How dare he! He just made this a political arguement.
The next stage is for the debate in Full Council.
A strategic decision was made to defer the presentation of the HCC e-petition because it would have allowed the authority to silence us for six months, in context of our demand for a referendum, as they currently move forward in their chosen direction. Holding back the presentation gives us the ability to respond to this decision and any further outcomes arrived at in the Full Council meeting on 20.10.26 – 10am Stevenage Office (Farnham and Robertson House): Six Hills Way, Stevenage, SG1 2FQ
