The Issue

Living in the beautiful twin towns of Killaloe and Ballina, we celebrate a rich community spirit and vibrant local life. However, this is limited public transportation options we currently have. As the twin towns continue to grow, the lack of a late evening bus service is becoming increasingly untenable for residents. The 323 & 345 bus Éireann routes, are too limited and need more services and extended times to serve our communities.

The last bus departing from Limerick to Killaloe/Ballina leaves at approximately 8:50 PM. For many of us, this is far too early. Whether it's working late, attending evening classes, or enjoying social gatherings, this current schedule leaves us stranded and limits our opportunities. With the significant growth we've  in our towns, an update to our transport service is overdue.

For students, this means greater flexibility in attending late classes or workers getting home after a later shift. Or even for having dinner or a gig in the City and not having to drive.

Public transportation should cater to the needs of the community it serves. Our towns deserve reliable and convenient transport options that reflect our growth and our potential. By pushing for a later evening service from Bus Éireann on the 323 and 345, we seek a simple yet impactful change that will enhance our quality of life.

Join us in calling on Bus Éireann  to extend the evening bus service hours. Your support is vital in making this change a reality. Sign this petition today and help spread the word to fellow residents, students, and workers who would benefit from better public transportation. Together, we can advocate for the change we need. Sign now and share this petition to inspire action for a better public transport service in Killaloe and Ballina.
