Thank you again for supporting my petition! Needless to say, garnering support, getting people's attention, and advocating for this has been more difficult than I thought. I think I can speak for everyone in how we see advocates on the news and the accomplishments they make but never how they got there. I have realized it starts here and those accomplishments are a reflection of the work they, along with their supporters, have put in to get there.
We have been stagnate at 270 signers and with the next legislative session in January it is important that we keep bringing awareness to the petition, but most importantly to spark legislative action. Please email, post, and share the petition or even better reach out to your representatives at the Georgia General Assembly in support of a bill. Here is what I have been doing the last few months if you need ideas: putting up flyers regarding the petition, reaching out to representatives, reaching out to organizations that could lobby for the bill, doing the paid promotion/donation option on the petition, and constantly reposting it with the link.
Again, thank you for signing and supporting this petition I am beyond thankful for how far we have come. We still have further to go but I know we can do it.
Sincerely,
Rachel
