New analysis has found that 70% of Earth’s largest creatures are decreasing in number, and 59% are at risk of extinction. 

Elephants, rhinos and giraffes are facing extinction due to human activities specifically the killing of megafauna for their meat. 

If we don’t adjust our behavior, our heightened abilities as hunters may lead us to consume much of the last of the Earth’s megafauna.
