According to the Wilderness Society Zinke committed no less than fourteen misdeeds which illustrate why he is the worst Interior Secretary ever: 

1. Carving up of national monument lands

2. Paving the way to drill America’s last truly wild            place

3. Weakening the protection for sage-grouse

4. Advocating for coal mining on public lands 

5. Encouraging ocean drilling off the Artic and Pacific coasts

6. Reversing rules that limit methane pollution

7. Increasing national park entrance fees 

8. Making California desert an unbalanced energy development zone 

9. Toxic mining next to America’s popular wilderness area?

10. Forcing the notion to develop a road through Alaska wilderness

11. Questionable “land takeover” policies 

12. Questionable decision making transparency

13. Staff upheaval 

14. Toeing the Trump climate denial change line
