With the rising number of Thoroughbreds in kill pens and sold directly to slaughter across the United States we need to create a better way to care for our horses 
Sport horses, kings, athletes. Sport of Kings! Yet they are disposed of once proven unable to win, once they are 'finished'. Surely we can show them more respect. 
If one percent of monthly earning per racetrack , state mandated, were put toward a care fund for those horses to prevent them being cast into auctions and sold to slaughter. 
There is no safety net and no Safe Act.

We are their voice. We are their future, or their demise. We are the ones who can change what they endure.
I am starting with one racetrack. One percent. The math is staggering.
