Traffic Signals are uneven in duration while changing the light. We often find in a lonely night signal is Red for considerable time where a commoner can very well face other problem if stops at such signals but otherwise can't bypass rule. Secondly at scroaching heat one has to stop for irrelevant time because of long time duration of Traffic signal change. Signals can be automated by using lezer sencers along the devider which will eventually manage the Signal light changeover duration by sencing the dencity of the awaiting vehicle. I am sure this will help minimizing signal breaking tendency which is,to a considerable extent, due to long signal duration.
