NJ Transit is currently removing all illegally parked/abandoned vehicles from their lots. Once complete, they will take an inventory of their lots and let the City of Jersey City know how many spots are available for residential parking. Look for this update by March.

NJ Transit has agreed to work towards setting a standard parking price across all their lots.

NJ Transit has agreed to meet with Councilwoman Ridley and Jersey City Traffic and Engineering Division to develop a better roll out of information.

NJ Transit Police will begin towing illegally parked cars from their lots as of 1/14/26.
