August 21, 2017--Today most people were focusing on the rare eclipse crossing the United States. Some went so far as to travel to see it. Curiously the Bureau of Land Management (BoLM) picked this day for their deadline to comment on the roundup of 6,700 wild horses in northeast Nevada near Wells and Elko. If you don't think you received a fair opportunity to comment against a proposed roundup of 6,700 wild horses, then let us know. BoLM is notorious for thwarting public participation--especially in Nevada. Know that you can contact your elected officials in Congress directly by hand written letter to oppose the proposed roundup of more than 6,700 American wild horses and ask them to intervene on your behalf. You can also make an appointment to discuss the issues with your elected official's staff. For the Wild Ones, Anne Novak Volunteer Executive Director Protect Mustangs www.ProtectMustangs.org
