Dear Supporters of medicinal cannabis, I just wanted to give you a brief update.....the NSW Terminal Illness Access Scheme is now in place. The tenders for NSW clinical trials are underway. The most hopeful area is the Federal Bill which will be debated in coming months and which, if successful will fast track genuine medicinal use throughout Australia if states decide to opt in. The most exciting news is that a significant documentary is in production and will be released within months. I am happy to say that I have been assisting Helen Kapalos with this incredible project which will, I believe have significant influence on how people view medical marijuana in Australia and beyond. I will advise you when it is to be released. We continue to see some softening of sentencing for some unfortunate medicinal users and carers who have been taken before the courts. Please be reassured that I don't intend to stop campaigning until we have a system which recognises the rights of the sick to choose cannabis as a medical option. Finally I would be grateful if you could support Nevil Schoenmaker who stands to make a significant contribution to Australian medicinal cannabis in the future as we win our fight to legalise.
