To all residents, supporters, and people of the Lake Arrowhead and San Bernadino community:
As the situation and after-effects of the snowstorm which occurred in late February continue to unfold, it is clear that the power of coming together and our community values have aided our neighbors and loved ones. The number of petition signers proves the impact and significance of these events.
With that being said it is essential that we continue to stay informed and updated:
According to the article provided by CNN (Linked below):
- "Those affected by the storm can apply for unemployment without a waiting period. Officials suspended the delay for people who lost work as a direct result of the storm and only applies to claims submitted between Feb. 21, 2023, and by end of the day on Aug. 21, 2023."

The declaration calling for a state of emergency is a huge success for petition supporters. We are slowly making headway to receiving the aid and assistance needed to power through this as a community. The residents of this mountain community are strong and WILL power through this!
