We in Canada do not have a National Missing Persons Day. I feel it is important to have this day declared in Canada. Last Year alone there were 71,000 reports of missing people in Canada. We need this day! We need A National Missing Persons Day. A day dedicated to all of our missing. To put faces to names. A day to raise awareness of Missing people in our Communities. To also provide resources for the families with missing loved ones. We need a day dedicated to Hope. There are many Countries that already have this day in place but Canada is not one.

As the sister of a missing loved one and most recently watching a good family friend go through what my family has been going through for many years as she sits and waits for answers about her brother, this is something that I am very passionate about.  Our country needs this! We families need this! And most importantly our missing loved ones need this! We are the their voices!
