Dear Decatur Community Members,
The purpose of this email is to survey our Community regarding whether we want to revisit the Legacy Park Master Plan in light of the housing addendum changes. Just as with the 2018 Master Planning Sessions, survey results will be reported at the summary rather than individual response level.

Legacy Park Master Plan Survey
Our Community came together in 2018 and over a 10 month period defined a Master Plan for its Legacy Park. A year later, the City Commission passed a Housing Addendum that increased the number of housing units at Legacy Park from 80 to 175 with 0.6 parking spaces per unit.
The Legacy Park Master Plan is the framework our City shares with builders via the request for proposal (RFP) process to inform the detailed building design for our park. Many Decatur residents expressed a desire to revisit the Legacy Park Master Plan considering these changes before this plan is released to builders.
For your reference, we are attaching the links to the Legacy Park Master Plan with Housing Addendum and the 2018 Legacy Park Plan sourced from the City Commission meeting notes.

We are strongest together, and we can not know what our community wants unless our community exercises its voice on how our lands are developed.
As part of our outreach, we are sharing this email with the City of Decatur Neighborhood Groups so they too may share this survey within its community. Please also consider sharing this email with your neighbors.
The greater the participation by Decatur Community members, the greater confidence that the survey represents the desires of our community. We want to move towards a solution that values all members of our Community and a solution all members of our Decatur Community can support.
