We have one last tribute to the short life of Ponce's that had such an impact on this county, state, country and world. I will know more of the details to his "funeral ceremony" in about two weeks and will post the details. Sometimes really good things come from tragedy. 

As a result of Ponce's killing, the laws were changed and Ponce's Law became a statewide law for felony animal cruelty in FL. I was also able to get an animal abuse database created and passed in Volusia County so that when abusers are convicted their names will go in the database where they will stay for 10 yrs. This will help when sentenced under Ponce's Law, if banned from owning animals (and i'm sure they will be) then the public has one central place to look before adopting out or rehoming an animal to keep them safe and out of the hands of abusers. My goal is to continue and get every county in the state to implement one.

I will keep you posted with the details of Ponce's burial in about two weeks.
