Today, vote. Tomorrow, keep organizing.

It's Election Day. Get out and vote. But don't confuse winning an election with earning the trust of the people.
New Mexico is being targeted for a massive expansion of AI data centers, and the corporations standing to profit are already spending money to influence our politics.
They want our water. They want our land. They want enormous amounts of electricity and fossil gas to power their facilities. They want public subsidies, weakened environmental protections, and politicians willing to clear the way.
Meanwhile, New Mexicans are being asked to accept the consequences.
Project Jupiter has shown us exactly what's at stake. Industrial-scale water consumption in a state facing worsening drought. Massive fossil fuel infrastructure and greenhouse gas emissions in the middle of a climate crisis. Corporate secrecy, political influence, and communities forced to fight for a meaningful say in decisions affecting their own futures.
And now money connected to these interests is finding its way into the political machinery supporting Deb Haaland.
That's why we launched this petition. We're demanding that Haaland reject and return money tied to the AI data center industry and make clear where she stands on the corporate takeover of New Mexico's resources.
And today, on Election Day, our petition reached 1,000 signatures. That number represents hundreds of New Mexicans from every corner of the State.
But 1,000 signatures isn't the finish line. It's a warning that people are watching.
We are tired of politicians who talk about protecting our land and water while corporate interests buy access and influence. Tired of being told that sacrificing our communities is the price of economic development. Tired of watching billion-dollar corporations demand more from New Mexico while offering little accountability in return.
We do not owe any politician our silence because they have a D next to their name. We do not owe anyone a free pass because they say the right things on the campaign trail.
If Deb Haaland wants to lead New Mexico, she should be prepared to answer to the people fighting to protect it.
Today, vote. Tomorrow, keep organizing. And every day after that, demand accountability from whoever holds power. The election is one day. The fight to keep New Mexico from becoming a sacrifice zone for the AI industry is far from over.
