5K SIGNATURES! Here is what's next:

Over 5,000 signatures in one week have been made in the fight towards changing the name, system-wide, on all UNC campuses! The agenda for change is an unremitting process of un-learning systematic, racist behaviors and ignorance, such as those present on our very own campuses. We demand necessary recognition and representation of the Black community on our campus, from petitions to protest and essential offline activism efforts. This petition is a platform with growing recognition from Student Governments, Chancellors, and Board of Trustees; They are being forced to listen to student voices that matter. UNC-Chapel Hill finally lifted its 16-year moratorium, NC State has announced the removal of the name-bearing Daniels Hall, UNC-Charlotte's Board of Trustees are meeting in regards to the Jerry Richardson Football Stadium.
