Shri Giriraj Singh, Hon'ble Minister Animal Husbandry Dairying and Fisheries, Govt of India had a detailed meeting with Hon'ble Member of Parliament Shri Anubhav Mohanty accompanied by Gauri Maulekhi of PFA, Alokparna Sengupta and Shreya Paropkari of HSI/India regarding the Amendment to the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960.

The Minister recognizes the need for the Amendment and has taken steps to bring this change. He was presented with letters of support from over a dozen Members of Parliament and copies of two Private Member Bills from Members of Parliament (Lok Sabha) regarding the Amendment.
