Campaign Success!

Hi Everyone...good news!
The Government have talked about the benefits of clear facemasks in their guidance for schools and said that ‘they can aid communication, for example enabling lip-reading or allowing for the full visibility of facial expressions’. This is a welcome change to the previous guidance.
Boris Johnson announced yesterday, that from Monday 17 May, it is safe for facemasks not to be worn in classrooms anymore. This will be a huge relief for many deaf young people across England.
Thank you for all your support in signing, sharing and talking about this petition - without so many of you, this petition would likely have never made it to Government level.
I’ve also had a lot of support from the National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS) to make this petition successful - a massive thank you to their media, young people, policy and campaigns team! If you want to make more positive changes for deaf young people like me, please sign up to their campaigns network.
Let's all keep campaigning for equal access to education.
Big thank you,
Dinah :)
