Amidst all of the legal wrangling back and forth between Amber Heard’s legal team and Johnny Depp’s, a conversation took place between Laura Divenere and Amber Heard. The chat itself isn’t much to write home about, just the two of them trash-talking Adam Waldman, Johnny’s lawyer, and crapping themselves about having to give depositions whether they like it or not.
What’s really interesting about this conversation, though, is that Amber Heard recorded it without Laura’s knowledge or consent (see photo). Normally that wouldn’t be a problem because so many states are one-party states, meaning that only one party in the conversation needs to give consent in order to record it. But California is not a one-party state. That means that if both (or all) parties don’t give consent, it’s illegal to record the conversation. It constitutes wiretapping, which carries a $250,000 fine and/or up to 1 year in jail.
You can read a transcript of the conversation between Amber and Laura HERE. Make of it what you will.
The question I have to as is this: How many laws does Amber have to break before she’s held accountable?
