Amber Heard will be allowed to give evidence about alleged sexual violence at the hands of her ex-husband Johnny Depp behind closed doors. Her lawyers successfully argued she should not be forced to testify about such sensitive subjects in front of the media.
Johnny's lawyers argued that she's done nothing but talk about her claims in public forums like #Metoo and United Nations platforms since she first accused him in the first place.
But ultimately, Mr Justice Nicol ruled that she could testify behind closed doors.
That does not mean, however, that her testimony will be kept secret. Her statements will likely be as accessible to the public as all other testimony so far. I'm sure we'll hear all about it, either from the court's website, or from whoever decides to "leak" it.
Me, I'm glad she's going to testify about Johnny being sexually violent towards her. It's more false evidence for which she can be held accountable later. She's just digging herself in deeper.
