For a woman who refuses to be silenced. Amber Heard is trying awfully hard to get Johnny Depp's defamation suit thrown out. She has now hired attorney Roberta Kaplan, who has filed a new motion to dismiss, arguing, as have many before him, that Johnny Depp’s name was never even mentioned in the op/ed in which Amber Heard describes herself as a survivor of domestic abuse. 
“In Mr. Depp’s view… Ms. Heard can never speak about the backlash she endured after reporting him, or about the death threats against her, without impliedly re-accusing him of abuse,” Kaplan writes. 
Well, duh. 
1) When Amber Heard describes herself as a survivor of domestic violence at the hands of Johnny Depp, she's committing defamation. So no. She CAN'T say it. 
2) Amber Heard and Johnny Depp both signed a divorce agreement that forbids them both from speaking negatively about each other. So, no. She CAN'T keep spewing her slanderous rhetoric. 
I'm pretty sure that Kaplan is smart enough to understand that premise, but she's a lawyer. She'll argue whatever she's paid to argue, especially in such a high-profile case.

Aside from which, is it just me, or does Amber Heard look pretty rough, lately? She looks bloated and pasty in recent photos, including this one. I wonder what's up with her.
