Meaww.com has published an article about how Johnny Depp's nearly severed finger has turned the public's opinion of him back into a favorable one.

Thanks to Amber Heard's manipulation of the #MeToo movement and accusations that Johnny Depp was a domestic abuser, a lot of people 'canceled' him. They were quick to believe Heard amid the #MeToo media storm that was felling giants around us. 

But then Depp produced photos of himself with a bruised face and a nearly severed finger, accusing Amber Heard of being the "perpetrator of domestic abuse, not the victim." 

Fans the world over have flocked back to Johnny Depp's side, eating their words and seeking atonement for being so quick to believe the accusations against him. 

By making herself the darling of the #MeToo movement, Heard made it even harder for real victims of abuse to come forward. If one woman can lie about being abused, all claims of domestic abuse can now be viewed with doubt. Heard has not supported victims of domestic abuse, she has done them a huge disservice.

Heard's "evidence" against Depp was wan and dubious, while his proof seems insurmountable. The verdict isn't in yet, but the tide of public opinion is just about unanimous, in favor of Depp.

There are over 11,000 signatures on the petition to remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2, so it looks like a lot of people agree.
