Remove Stephanie Dale as Labour Town Councillor for Sleaford & North Hykeham
The Issue
On 4/12/18 Professor Rosa Freedman posted a Twitter thread documenting the abuse and harassment that she is currently receiving after having expressed her views on the self-identification and Gender Recognition Act debate in the U.K. This harassment has, thus far, taken the form of malicious phone calls, persons unknown urinating on her office door, threats of legal action from another academic, and being followed by students on campus (amongst other things) as documented here:

Following this, Labour Town Councillor Stephanie Dale posted the following remarks on 6/12/18:
"When you persistently back people into a corner, they're gonna lash out. Serves your purpose that, doesn't it. You play victim them. Poke a hornets nest long enough, you'll get stung."
This is documented here: https://twitter.com/Godstopper1981/status/1070649829620178944
We note that Stephanie Dale is in violation of the Sleaford Town Council, Councillors Code of Conduct (https://www.sleaford.gov.uk/PDF/STC%20Code%20of%20Conduct%20amended%20July%203rd.pdf): specifically, Councillor's have a general obligation to be 'objective' and to 'treat members of the public with respect'. Clearly, publicly stating that Professor Freedman 'poke(d) a hornets nest' and, by implication, deserves retribution in the form of verbal and physical abuse, is neither acting objectively nor treating a member of the public with respect. Moreover, her actions on social media have damaged the reputation of the Labour Party. As such, we call for her removal as Labour Town Councillor for Sleaford and North Hykeham.
