There are many teens who don't know their rights. This can  cause  them to get into trouble that  they could have avoided. Many  cases of juveniles getting convicted is because of ignorance of their rights. This is not to say that you should do something that you know is wrong, but to know that there are certain things that you do not have to  do. Also, if you are convicted as a felon getting a job  is very difficult which can take a toll on their income causing them to do other things to make money. This can make them end up in the system again. That check box can change their whole future.
