Yesterday morning, Hamilton College's Cafe Opus 1 had its chairs and tables removed for the uncomfortable Adirondack chairs we have been forced to eat, socialize and study in for the past semester. This move is founded on the administration's belief that we the students are incapable of distancing ourselves and making responsible decisions. 

We have all made sacrifices this year, but the students of Hamilton College live day in and day out in this difficult and uncomfortable environment. Yesterday, the college, unprompted, made the choice to take away one of the last remaining normal parts of campus as a punishment for choosing to eat there when the dining hall did not provide seating. 

We deserve the right to comfort and a social environment, but this college is refusing to provide us with it. Take action and let the college know you will not stand for them to take away the few things that remain of our normal lives during this difficult time.
