In the recent distraction and scandal - leading to the resignation of Angela Rayner - Starmer has moved cabinet members around, leading to the promotion of David Lammy to Deputy PM, as well as replacing Shabana Mahmood in the position of Justice Secretary. 

This man has been pivotal in the injustice and escalation of violence against Palestinians by the criminal, apartheid, occupation state of Israel. His decisions have led to the murder and maiming of hundreds of thousands of men, women and children in Occupied Palestine.

Yvette Cooper, the direct action busting recipient of some of the largest donations from pro-israel lobbyists, is now Foreign Secretary, something she has very little experience in, despite being in politics for decades. This appointment should be met with nothing but suspicion.

As Rayner resigns because of unpaid stamp duty, Lammy is rewarded and gleefully accepts his new position, while Cooper relishes in expanding her alignment with Israel on an international platform. This does nothing but further harm people in the global majority. 

Our government has been corrupt and performative since inception. We have had war criminals in office before and no doubt will again, unless something changes at a fundamental level in our country’s politics.

Calling for this resignation and the resignation of other ministers may be symbolic, but it shows them we see them, we see their callousness, we see their crimes, we see that they aren’t for people, they don’t protect lives and we don’t want to be led by criminals who only stand for themselves, private corporations, and the global elite. 

Starmer, Lammy, Cooper, Sunak, Cameron should all be tried at The Hague - should that day ever happen - and certainly should not be in power positions making decisions that affect the lives of the people.
