We would like to see a Gubernatorial debate in Hawaii for the 2018 election cycle.

The Issue

There are no scheduled Gubernatorial debates in Hawaii prior to the 2018 general election.

A public debate was scheduled on September 20th to be hosted by PBS Hawaii, however Governor David Ige declined to participate in this event.

The constituents of the state of Hawaii deem a gubernatorial debate to be essential prior to an election.

We request that the governor reconsider participating in this event and that at least one gubernatorial debate is held prior to the 2018 election on November 6th.
