Dimitri Payet was one of the best players to wear the claret and blue colours. He amazed us with his talent and free-kick abilities. Sadly, his time at WHU was limited, as he left on bad terms with the club, management, and WHU supporters. 

However, in a time where the WHU management seems to have improved their approach to the club through:

- Hiring Manuel Pellegrini

- Signing Ryan Fredericks, Issa Diop, Lucas’s Fabianski, likely Jack Wilshire, and potentially Felipe Anderson, among other potential signings

- Committing more funds to transfers and wage budgets

- The atmosphere at Olympic Stadium has improved

WHU is starting to become an attractive destination and the sentiment is great going into the 2018/19 season. Adding Dimitri Payet back into the mix immediately makes WHU a top 6-8 contender. 

Lets support management in bringing back this great talent, forgive his distasteful exit, and cheers the Hammers onto glory next season.
