Mar 6, 2017 — http://huddlehub.co.uk/articles/0317/safari-zoo-will-be-issued-with-an-order-to-close.html Sadly, given almost 500 animal deaths in the last four years at SLSZ, I am no longer prepared to support South Lakes Safari Zoo any further. Mr Gill stepped back from the running of the zoo, handing it to a trust, however when visiting recently he has applied to Barrow Council alongside another person for a licence to operate a "proposed" zoo at the existing location. Almost 21,000 people signed this petition just over a year ago. Sadly it appears we've all been made to look like mugs. Myself included. Already people have been withdrawing their support from this petition (I didn't even know that was possible) and frankly, I can't blame them either.
