TERRIFIC NEWS Tesco, Waitrose and Marks and Spencer have all decided to keep the covers of The Sun and Star out of the eye lines of children! The Tesco news was featured in most of the weekends press. (including Murdoch’s Times and Sky News!) But since then we’ve learned that M&S and Waitrose are also taking steps on this issue. We are proving to be quite formidable, and it is all thanks to YOUR action and that of Child Eyes and their supporters. You tirelessly and fantastically campaigned in stores, via email, on social media - and these huge corporations had to listen. You are all, frankly, BRILLIANT!! But… we’re not done yet. Let’s get the remaining supers to follow suit!http://nomorepage3.org/news/call-to-action-whos-next/ 17th NOVEMBER marked the 44th (and last!?!) anniversary of Page 3 Supporters up and down the country got together and took to the streets (and pubs, Edinburgh!) to spread the word. There was even a suffragette inspired chalk protest where 40+ people, spearheaded by our own superhero 18-year-old Yas Necati, wrote their reasons for supporting No More Page 3 on the pavements outside News UK in London. Even the police and Sun security agreed it was a wonderful sight! A SUPPORTER, who wishes to remain anonymous, spent his commute to work thinking about his young daughters and how to make the world better for them. And he wrote a manifesto. Then he had it beautifully designed and printed and has sent it to politicians. We recommend you make yourself a nice cup of equali-tea and have a read.
