Yesterday, I spent the day delivering the petition Justice for Chunky to DEFRA and meeting with those interested. It is great finally meeting Chunky and his family. I realise that I could not have got this far without all of your support, words of encouragement, and I want to thank you for it. With that said, when I was riding the bus home, I realized the campaign is progressing and it is moving into the second phase. The second phase will involve moving the focus from Chunky to a campaign for all animals who have been abused. Whilst the focus is moving away from Chunky, please be aware Chunky is still an integral part of the campaign. Chunky is the genesis of this campaign to protect society’s most vulnerable from abuse. As a result, I am proud to announce the start of the second chapter, moving the campaign to actually bringing the animal abuse registry. Many are thinking, how long this will take? All I can say, there is process that needs following and we are at the starting line of the journey. It is difficult at this early stage to give a time-frame and I ask for your understanding. Therefore, all I can say, I want to bring about the needed change. Achieving this lofty task will require me to rely on my UK supporter and I am asking you to write your MP telling them you want animal abuse register. If you are not sure who your MP is or how to contact them then follow this link. Soon, I will provide a draft template for you to write your MP but the most effective letters are that come from the heart, not a template. Finally, in the coming days, I will be providing further updates including updates on Chunky and progress of making the registry into law. I encourage you to continue to follow and spread the word.
