Petition update

Over 190K are now calling for an inquiry into #benefitsanctions for David

Gill Thompson
Stevenage, United Kingdom

Sep 4, 2014 — I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for signing this
petition – we now have over 190,000 signatures.

I read the comments you leave on the petition every day. Thank you also for all your kind words. It saddened me to read the stories of how sanctions have affected you and your loved ones.

The campaign has now extended to national and local newspapers, radio and TV, and with Parliament resuming this week, would kindly ask those that have not yet signed to please do so in order to hit 250,000 and above to force an independent enquiry into the benefit sanctions.

This is one of many interviews I have done, speaking to Radio 5Live about what happened to David. Please take 3 minutes to listen to my message to the Government: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0253y4y

My petition is to stop these draconian measures affecting the vulnerable in
our society, those most in need of support.

Sadly David has gone now and will be very much missed by all who knew and loved him but with your support we can stop the pain and suffering happening to others.

Kind regards

Gill Thompson (sister of David Clapson)
