This is regarding ARAP File # NR17MS.009. The permit is requested by Land Developers, LLC (Hoover) to alter three wetlandlands associated with the revocation and modification of NPDES permit TN0069221. Essentially, Hoover is proposing to destroy additional wetland areas at their Old Hickory site in Davidson County and will purchase "credits" at a wetland bank out of county. 

Nashville can not afford another catastrophic flood again!! These wetlands provide critical habitat by trapping floodwater, feeding downstream waters, recharging groundwater supplies and removing pollution. Not to mention, they contain a much larger number of plants and animal species than any other land forms.

As tax payers of Davidson County, we demand that Metro Nashville take immediate and concise action by making an official, written policy to NO LONGER MITIGATE WETLANDS OUT OF COUNTY.

Metro MUST understand the importance of this critical issue before more lives and property are lost.
