I have fantastic news to announce, everyone. Dave Arnold tap danced at the live show on Saturday!

You may have heard that the second live show ended with a power outage. It came at the very end, during Chris' wrap-up. Then all the cast and crew converged on the stage, and Chris tried to announce each one. It was darker than usual, but emergency back-up lights made it possible to still see. And when Dave Arnold come front and center on stage, he did a short little tap-dance, swinging his arms as he did it. That made me so happy. Our encouragement must have worked!

Apparently not everyone saw the dance because it was quick, and the stage was pretty chaotic at that point. But I did have the chance to talk to Dave after the show, once the power came back on. I thanked him for tap-dancing, and he said it was totally "impromptu". He probably wouldn't have done it if the show had ended normally. But I guess the power outage inspired him.
