Stopping Roadkill Once and For All

The Issue

Connecticut experiences around 1,000 crashes involving vehicle and wildlife collisions each year, costing more than 1 billion dollars nationwide. The state witnesses around 1 crash every 7 hours, injuring around 100 drivers every year. With Connecticut's iconic wildlife including Coyotes, Moose, Bobcats, Black Bears, and White Tailed Deer, preserving them should be our utmost priorities. By putting into place preventative methods such as; Deer Whistles, Roadside Reflective Mirrors, Solar Powered Alert Panels and Wildlife Tunnels, we can help to keep our environment and citizens safe.
