Plans for the development of the Wheatsheaf Community Hub in Glenroy are now well underway thanks to extensive support for the project shown by residents of the City of Moreland. More than 2000 people signed postcards calling on the Victorian Government to ‘Give Glenroy a Go’ and invest in Council's $26.4 million project. A further 619 people signed our online petition. The State Government has provided grants equivalent to almost one eighth of the total project cost. A big thanks to you all for your support. Council is pleased to note a public commitment by the Federal Member for Wills to fund the project to the tune of $6 million if Labor is elected at the Federal election.
