Daylesford used to have a full time police force but several years ago it was reduced to part time. Since then crime has greatly increased in the district including smash-raids on our service stations, burglaries, robberies, and other crimes because it's now widely known that a police response will take 40 minutes coming from Ballarat, so criminals have a 40 minute window to commit their crimes and flee.

We desperately need to restore a 24/7 police force in our town and I am asking Daniel Andrews and Graham Ashton (Police Commissioner) to do this.
