This is what happens

This is what I mean by people having to park on footpaths. I took this photo this morning around 9.30am, I had to park my car in a residential street 10 minutes away from the station (the closest available space to park). When I returned later on this evening, around 6pm, unfortunately a few of these cars were still parked and had been fined for stopping here. I understand that it is illegal but what other choice do commuters have when catching a bus or riding a bike to the station might not be option
