Response from Minister John Eren

Bushwalking Victoria received a response from Minister Eren last week. Unfortunately he has not addressed our concerns. While Minister Eren states "the consultation process safeguards will ensure that the standards do not cause any unintended consequences on the operation or participation of bushwalking on public land" we consider that so far nothing has been done to achieve this. Our simple solution, to include this text: "this standard does not apply to volunteers" is being ignored. We are seeking permission to circulate a full copy of Minister Eren's letter.
