Clifton Village Trapped: How 23/00018/FUL Blocks Our Only Exit
Thank you to everyone who has backed this safety campaign so far! As residents, we need to highlight a critical public safety threat that goes far beyond a typical planning dispute: Weaver View is the sole entrance and exit for our entire village.
By permitting application 23/00018/FUL, Halton Borough Council is placing an explosive hazard footprint directly across our only escape route.
The Bottleneck: The proposed petrol station and pipeline valve compound sit precisely at the throat of Weaver View.
The Risk Matrix: If an incident occurs on the ethylene pipeline, this exit becomes impassable. Emergency vehicles cannot get in, and residents cannot get out. This transforms our local road network into an active trap.
The Ask: We are expanding our demands. We need to pressure the Secretary of State to step in and "call in" this application for a full public inquiry based on this immediate danger to human life.
