Update folks... today I was contacted and told that  the same thing that happened to me happened to their very young daughter. 

This is exactly what I fear and now it's too close for comfort. This poor little girl was mauled by a dog that was offleash and spent the weekend getting plastic surgery at the children's hospital. 

It's October and my PTSD is still there .. I cry , I'm a mess... the fear I feel when I see anything that resembles the dog that attacked me or even when a big dog runs towards me or my dogs leaves me inconsolable.  Something needs to be done.
