See the Main/Columbia Conceptual Design Presentation

Nathaniel Barrett
Dallas, TX, United States

Aug 13, 2019 —

The City has graciously provided the slide deck used in the presentation given at the community input meeting. It can be accessed here:

Main/Columbia Presentation

Slides 13-21 show the options presented that evening with both overhead and cross-section views. Please note how Option 2 removes the bicycle lanes west of Peak St (slide 20) and has the awkward 2-way to 1-way transition at Carroll Ave (slide 19) and contrast them with the continuous bike lanes and smooth transitions in Option 1.

What you can do:

1) Complete a comment card (link here) in support of Option 1 and mail it by 8/18/19 to:

Tony Payberah, Project Manager
City of Dallas, Department of Public Works
320 E. Jefferson Blvd., Room 307
Dallas, Texas 75203

2) Write an email expressing your support for Option 1 with bicycle lane  to Council Members Adam.Medrano@dallascityhall.com and david.blewett@dallascityhall.com
