Given the fast growth in supporters, Change.org contacted me and offered to help raise awareness of the petition. They have placed the petition on their home page and will be sending an e-mail blast to several people including those that have previously started a petition and supporters of other petitions that have indicated are Canadian and have an interest in hearing about women's rights petitions. On Friday morning, I wrote a few paragraphs to be included in this e-mail explaining the situation's background and current status. This text now appears at the top of the petition's page as an introduction. Note that the petition itself has not changed.
