Tell the Congo to Stop Using Child Labor in the Gold Mining Industry

The Issue

90% of the gold that the D.R. Congo produces is a result of child labor. These children, many aged 7-14, are subject to terribly dangerous working conditions, rape, long working hours, and abuse.

Although these children need to support their families by working, they shouldn't be working in the mining industry. High levels of mercury, collapsing mining pits, and over-sized protective gear put their lives at too great of a risk.

Sign this petition calling on upon the end of child labor in the D.R. Congo's gold mining industry.
