Actualización (23/03/2017): Nos alegra comunicaros que la petición ha llegado a ATRESMEDIA, grupo que emite Los Simpson en España en abierto, y han decidido apoyar el 19 de abril como el Día Mundial de Los Simpson. Esperamos que Fox, otras cadenas y empresas relacionadas con Los Simpson, y por supuesto, su "padre" Matt Groening, también nos escuchen.

Con el apoyo de ambas cadenas de televisión, ya podemos decir que el Día Mundial de Los Simpson es toda una realidad.

Trabajando en nuestro calendario de días internacionales, reparamos en que aún no existe un Día Mundial de Los Simpson. Después nos dimos cuenta de que el próximo 19 de abril de 2017 se cumplirán 30 años de la primera emisión del cortometraje 'Good Night' en El Show de Tracey Ullman, antes incluso de que Los Simpson se convirtieran en serie. Es perfecto: ¡ese debería ser el Día Mundial de Los Simpson!

Los fans de esta mítica serie nos merecemos un día con emisiones especiales en televisión, con artículos en los medios de comunicación que repasen su trayectoria y curiosidades, con memes y GIFs en las redes sociales... Queremos celebrar cómo esta serie ha repasado los últimos 30 años de la historia del mundo, a través de personajes que son tan populares como Mickey Mouse o Mario (Bros).

¿Quién no ha encendido alguna vez la televisión a las 14h para ver Los Simpson antes del telediario? Firma la petición para que Antena 3, la cadena responsable de la popularidad de Los Simpson en España, apoye esta iniciativa, y que Fox, la cadena que convirtió a la familia amarilla en serie, lo haga oficial. Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart y Maggie se merecen su día. ¡Por supuesto, si quieres hacer llegar esta petición a otra cadena que emita el programa en tu país, te invito a hacerlo!
