Bad news: Another attack on me by my stalker!

Good news: A visit by a police officer who was polite, informed, promised action, agreeing that this was stalking and harassment rather than a minor infringement and who gave me a crime number.

Nad news: I was immediately emailed by another officer who had closed the case on the basis of insufficient evidence, despite the fact I had shown the officer the incontrovertible video evidence and was only waiting for the Axon link to lodge it.

How far must you have travelled from the Police service statement of common purpose and values must you be to know the evidence is coming but close the case before it has a chance to be seen just to save yourself some bother and knowing it will enable a crime against a vulnerable individual to continue?
