I promised you all a more positive update...

Yesterday, after almost 6 months of collecting documents and jumping through the customary hoops, I finally had an appointment with a psychologist...
Where I was injected, inspected, detected, infected, neglected, selected and finally interviewed.
So, and here's the positive bit, I now have an official autism diagnosis, I've survived 42 years quite happily without a formal diagnosis & I've never even gave a second thought to pursuing a diagnosis, for something I just am, and have been aware of for my entire adult life ..
But I was having increasingly disturbing issues communicating with a few select members the constabulary.
I won't waste time with the boring details, however a common theme was the ever-present threat for arrest for the unforgivable, and extremely heinous offence, of being disrespectful two people who happen to wear a uniform....And of course the other threat of interview under caution plus 3....
Let's just pretend for a minute that there actually existed a specific offence of swearing at/being disrespectful to a police officer, which of course there is not. (In fact all the case law basically says pretty much the opposite.)
I thought, 'hay what the hell, it can't possibly make things any worse'....so at very least, now it should be a lot harder for them to threaten me with a Magistrates Court appearance & the prospect of being found guilty of "causing harassment alarm or distress", to a police officer twice my size...
And who knows, assuming anyone in the southwest command at some point has seen a PowerPoint, or god forbid, maybe even bothered to read the equalities act, this may actually help somehow..... Not sure how but, here's hoping.
Goodnight all.
