A bus shelter for stop G in Sydenham Road

The Issue

This stop is used by four frequent buses - the 75, 194, 202 and 450. As there is no shelter, people waiting for the bus squeeze into shop doorways, but there is not shelter from the wind and rain for everyone, so people get wet, and also crowd across the pavement. TfL do not regard a shelter here as a priority, saying  they cannot afford one, that there is not enough space, and that the pavement layout might need to be changed.  There are shelters in much smaller spaces elsewhere on the 75 bus route.  Moving the stop sign westwards could allow a slimline shelter, closed on the road side.

Please ask TfL customer services to reconsider.  The more  requests the better. To contact the Sydenham Society please see our website at www.sydenhamsociety.com or write to 35 Bishopsthorpe Road London SE26 4PA
