It is exactly one month since my last update, and in that time we have gone from 4,448 signatures to 4,874 signatures. WOW... thank you all so much for taking the time to sign this electronic petition. You....the people that have signed this petition obviously love their bunnies, and don't want to potentially see hundreds of pet bunnies catching the myxomatosis virus from the mosquito or flea or any other flying insect that can bite an already infected wild rabbit, then fly to our pet bunnies, and bite them. Once this happens there is very little chance that our pet bunnies won't be affected by this excruciating deadly virus, which will painfully kill them. The only caring thing to do if this happens, is to have our pets put to death by euthanasia. Most of you reading this will already be aware that some of our rabbit sanctuaries & private rabbit owners have already been affected by the myxomatosis virus & these poor rabbits had to be euthanized. If you know anyone that hasn't signed the petition, please would you pass on the information & request that they do. We are still looking for Australian citizens living overseas to sign our hand written signature petition forms. These forms can be requested from http://www.facebook.com/rabbitaidinternational All you need to do is leave a message in the message box on the top right hand corner. Unfortunately we can't accept hand written signature forms from non Australians overseas. We do need though every Australian person that has signed the electronic petition to request the hand written form from the above rabbit aid international facebook page or email rabbitaidinternational@gmail.com This is extremely important as without the hand written signatures the Australian government might not listen to us. When you request the paper petition, please print out more than one page as we are asking everyone if they will also collect signatures too. Just think how many hand written signatures that would make! There is also a you tube video that you can watch on the rabbit aid international face book page. Thank you again for helping us to petition the Australian government to allow the myxomatosis vaccine into Australia. Marjorie Prettyman
